Day 1.
It’s a BIG adventure in a small package. Day 1 of the tiny house learning curve begins Friday evening from 6-9pm.
- Meet your teacher and fellow tiny home enthusiasts!
- Learn how to design mini homes IN CANADA.
- Discover small home design basics, focusing on the “3 E s” – efficiency, economy, and environment

Day 2 is loaded with the information you need to start designing your own tiny home:
- Trailer and foundation options
- The rules for road travel
- How to design an efficient home for your climate.
After lunch, you get to flex your creative muscles while you:
- Design tiny house floor plans.
- Learn space-saving hacks from another tiny houser.
- Take the mystery out of utility systems with a comprehensive overview of your home utility system, including heat, water, power, internet, and waste.
Bottom Line for Day 2: Designing is fun, space hacks are fantastic, and composting toilets are exciting!

What’s Legal and What’s Not?
On Day 3, you’ll learn all about tiny house legalities, including:
- Five tiny home building code options
- Everything you need to know about zoning
- Where to legally park your tiny house.
Next we pick up the tape measures and head outside to…
- Recreate famous tiny house floor plans at full scale.
- Walk through six floor plans
- Discover how much space you really need
- Decide which layouts you like best.
We’ll also review a step-by-step photo journey of my tiny home build. I was one where you are now, so I have a lot of valuable insight to share.
